Per i fan sfegatati degli Eels il prossimo 14 gennaio sarà una giornata più importante di Natale, Capodanno e Epifania messi insieme: usciranno in un'unica soluzione, infatti, un 'greatest hits' con allegato un dvd e un'altra doppia raccolta farcita di b-sides, rarità e inediti (anch'essa con incluso un dvd).

L'antologia del meglio di Mark Oliver 'E' Everett e soci si intitolerà 'Meet The Eels: Essential Eels Vol. I 1996-2006'. Al suo interno, anche un paio di inediti: una curiosa cover di 'Get Ur Freak On' di Missy Elliot (!) e il remix di Jon Brion di 'Climbing To The Moon'.

'Useless Trinkets: B-sides, Soundtracks, Rarities and Unreleased 1996-2006' racchiude invece ben 50 tracce in due cd, tra cui cover di Daniel Johnston ('Living Life') e Prince ('If I Was Your Girlfriend'). Oltre ai due cd, c'è anche un dvd con parte dell'esibizione a Lollapalooza 2006. Qui sotto le tracklist del vario materiale:
