In attesa dell'attesissima reunion dei Led Zeppelin, Robert Plant torna in pista con Raising Sand, album in uscita il 30 ottobre inciso assieme ad Alison Krauss, star del country da milioni di dischi venduti.
I due interpretano brani di autori come Tom Waits, Gene Clark, Little Milton Campbell, Mel Tillis, Townes Van Zandt, Doc Watson e gli Everly Brothers, oltre a una nuova versione di Please Read the Letter, già in Walking Into Clarksdale, album pubblicato nel 1998 assieme a Jimmy Page.
